A general strike in the transport sector risks blocking an entire country. In fact, an agitation is expected on Friday 16 June which will involve planes, trains and local public transport with buses, subways and trams. Everything stopped, very heavy inconvenience not only for those who have to travel from one part of the country to another, but also for regional travel and for those who have to go from one part of the same city to another. 

As for planes, the strike will last 24 hours: from 00.01 to 23.59 on 16 June. On the basis of what was communicated by ENAC, there are two guarantee periods: from 7 to 10 and from 18 to 21.

Alitalia instead, he communicates that he has activated “an extraordinary plan to limit the inconvenience and reroute the largest number of passengers affected by the cancellations on the first available flights. The Company was in fact forced to cancel several national and international flights scheduled for Friday 16 June, as well as some connections on the morning of 17 June". “It is available on the alitalia.com website – continues the press release – the complete list of canceled flights, together with detailed information on the rerouting methods which provide for the refund of the ticket or the possibility of changing one's flight without any penalty until 30 June ".

A strengthening of personnel is also planned at the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate and an increase in the number of call center employees. “More capacious planes will also be deployed, both on domestic and international routes, to carry a greater number of travellers”.  

Speaking of the treni, the strike will involve employees of Trenitalia, Trenord and Italo (NTV). The agitation will start from 21.00 on Thursday 15 June to 21.00 on 16 June. Essential services will be guaranteed in the following time slots between 6 and 18 and 21. There are also replacement trains and buses for connections between Rome Termini and Fiumicino airport. Finally the local public transport. In Milan the protest will concern ATM employees who will stop from 8,45 to 15 and from 18 at the end of the service. In Rome there will even be two strikes. The first, lasting 24 hours, will involve Atac and Roma Tpl. In this case the usual guarantee bands will remain valid: regular service until 8.30 and from 17 to 20. As regards the 4-hour strike, the scheduled time is from 11 to 15.
