After the protest of last 8 June, which has literally paralyzed the Italian skies, a new strike is scheduled for the 25nd June. Pilots and flight attendants of Ryanair, EasyJet and Volotea are once again protesting throughout Europe against the current crisis in the sector. There are dozens of flights at risk, with travelers called to face yet another day of inconvenience and delays.

"It is called by trade unions (Filt CGIL and Uiltrasporti, ed) which are not representative in Ryanair – said the country manager Mauro Bolla in Cagliari for the 15 years of the low cost base – now let's see how many members will also join those who do not belong to a trade union. A contingency plan? We always think of the best situation not the worst. We must bear in mind that this concerns the situation in Italy, but the strike is also European".

Lo strike on Saturday it will last 24 hours and it will affect not only Ryanair, but also Malta Air e CrewLink, companies that gravitate around the Irish giant. Protesting against "the continuation of the unacceptable conditions in which pilots and flight attendants are forced to work" will be the pilots and flight attendants. 

This is a strike that affects not only Italy, but also other European countries, including Spain (24, 25, 26, 30 June, 1 and 2 July), Portugal (24, 25 and 26 June), France (June 25 and 26) and Belgium (June 24, 25 and 26) and disruptions on the connections operated by the Ryanair Group are expected.

Staff EasyJet protest "against the compression of workers' rights culminating in unjustified dismissals, against the lack of operational solidity and the total degradation of industrial relations", reads a statement from Uiltrasporti. As for instead Volotea, for the employees of the Spanish low-cost company, "the protest continues against the corporate attitude that harms workers' rights due to the failure to adjust the minimum wages - says the union - and for the numerous unilateral actions with a further reduction in wages justified by individual agreements and pseudo-volunteers".

In all three cases (Ryanair, EasyJet and Volotea ed.) it will be a 24-hour strike, from midnight on 25 June until 23.59pm on the same day.

Enac, the National Civil Aviation Authority, has published on its website the lists of guaranteed flights for all companies affected by the protest.
