General strike: "The CISL has no intention of joining"

General strike: "The CISL has no intention of joining"

The CISL has no intention of joining the general strike proclaimed by the CGIL for December 5 against the government's economic and labor policy.

This was stated by the general secretary of the Cisl, Annamaria Furlan, in an interview with 'Mix24', the Sole24Ore radio.

“The CGIL makes its choices, it will carry out its general strike. It's not the first time she's gone on strike alone, it doesn't seem like a way to unite the world of work,” Furlan said, rejecting the appeal launched yesterday to Cisl and Uil by CGIL leader Susanna Camusso to join the protest.

“Historically, the CISL has never joined strikes called by other organizations. I believe that the strike is not the right tool to get results. We need other things. From my point of view, Camusso didn't make the right choice. We don't even think about the strike”, concluded Furlan.
