Strike, chaos and disruption in Rome (VIDEO)

Inconvenience throughout Italy for the general mobilization called by the USB, USI and Unocobas trade unions in the local public transport sector, but it is in Rome where the major complications arose: in the capital, in fact, lines A and C of the metro remained completely closed, with line B going slowly. In general, the agitation involved the entire Atac network and the peripheral lines managed by the Roma Tpl company. To facilitate mobility, the daytime limited traffic zones in the center and Trastevere have been deactivated, thus allowing access even to vehicles without a permit, but this has not prevented the chaos due to congested traffic throughout the city, with many inconveniences for the citizens.

Budget much quieter in other cities, such as Milan and Turin. In Milan, no particular criticalities have been reported and traffic continues as normal, with the exception of the inconvenience caused by the USB union procession, which left at 9.30 from Largo Cairoli and arrived in Piazza San Babila. Protesters threw paint at the banks and lit several smoke bombs. In Turin, according to grassroots unions, just over 60% of workers, bus and tram drivers, joined the strike, against 90% in Rome and 80% in Campania, where the railway service has remained completely stopped of the Phlegrean lines. In all over one million three hundred thousand workers who today, in protest, have not taken service.

Here's what the guaranteed bands were. For local public transport, the strike methods varied from city to city. In Rome, the service was guaranteed from the beginning of the shift to 8.30 and from 17 to 20; in Milan from the beginning of the shift at 8.45 and from 15 to 18; in Turin from 6 to 9 and from 12 to 15; in Naples from 5.30 to 8.30 and from 17 to 20; in Florence from 6 to 9 and from 12 to 15; in Bologna from the beginning of the shift at 8.30 and from 16.30 to 19.30; in Genoa from 6 to 9 and from 17.30 to 20.30. The strike was not just about transport, but different sectors of the public administration: school (including nursery schools), health and public offices.
