Chaos and delays this morning at Milan airports due to an unannounced protest by ground staff. Numerous inconveniences for the many ready to leave for the holidays on the first day of August.
On the official Twitter account of the Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa airports, passengers are informed as follows: "Due to spontaneous union agitation by the ground staff, disservices and delays are occurring at Malpensa". Now a new tweet announces that the unrest is over at Malpensa and that the situation is returning to normal.
The situation seems to be improving instead in the other Milanese airport. "At Linate – reads the Milan Airports account – still queues at check-in, delays, but the situation is returning to normal".
For more information, travelers are advised to contact the airline directly. In the meantime, the anger of passengers forced to wait a long time at the airport explodes on Twitter. "Shame", reads one of the posts on the social network.
Due to spontaneous action of handling staff, flights may be delayed or disrupted. For further information please contact your airline.
