Women's Day this year is likely to be remembered as a day of chaos and inconvenience for one general strike which involves transport and risks bringing the main cities to their knees, from Rome to Milan.

ROME: ATAC, ROME LPT AND CONTRAL STRIKE FOR 8 MARCH 

In the capital, the strike will affect not only Atac vehicles, but also those of Rome Tpl and Contral, the regional transport company.

MARCH 8 STRIKE: TRAINS AND PLANES AT RISK

Trenitalia announced that a national strike was called between 00.00 and 21.00 on Friday 8 March 2019 by the staff of the Italian State Railways Group.
