Scientific research: CDP Foundation and Ministry of Health sign collaboration memorandum

Il Ministry of Health e CDP Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in achieving the objectives of the tender “In Search System”. The announcement is dedicated to projects already recipients of PNRR funds in the sector health scientific research.

Registrations until September 29th. 1 million euros per project

The announcement makes available up to 1 million euros to contribute to the objectives of the PNRR in the sector of scientific research in the health sector, focusing on the enabling factors for the sustainable growth of the country. Requests must be sent via the dedicated portal of the CDP Foundation by 18pm on 00 September 29.

The resources made available by the CDP Foundation will be aimed at covering expenses other than those already financed by the PNRR funds, but still fundamental for the completion of the research project. The maximum financing threshold is 100.000 euros for each project. Based on the rankings of the Ministry of Health, they are approximately 170 research projects currently underway throughout Italy who will be able to participate in the call.

Who is the “In Sistema Ricerca” announcement aimed at?

The notice is intended for researchers working in Italian public or private non-profit institutes, as well as the Scientific Hospitalization and Care Institutes (IRCCS). The objective of the call is to contribute to the achievement of national objectives in the research sector, providing additional funding compared to the funds already made available by the European Commission through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

As established in the MoU, the Ministry of Health and CDP Foundation they will also collaborate in the evaluation and allocation process of the tender funds, in order to select the financing requests with the highest potential, with a view to synergy which sees the two institutions working together for the first time.

“Through the 'In Sistema Ricerca' call, the CDP Foundation confirms its desire to play an additional role with respect to the system to support research, in line with one of the fundamental pillars of our Strategic Plan. With this initiative we aim to complete important projects for the sector. There collaboration established with the Ministry of Health confirms that synergies between different actors can be a key to addressing the country's complex challenges, especially in areas of strategic importance such as health research, in which Italy can play a leading role", declared the Director General of the CDP Foundation, Frances Sofia.
