School, new calls for tenders on the values and contents of the Italian Constitution

Seventy-five years ago, on January 1, 1948, the law came into force Constitution of the Italian Republicdefinitively approved by the Constituent Assembly in its session of 22 December and signed by the provisional Head of State, Enrico De Nicola. And therefore the renewed commitment of the Senate, Chamber and Ministry of Education to disseminate the values and contents of our Constitution among male and female students acquires a further meaning. A common commitment that is also relaunched in order to assist and consolidate the teaching ofCivics in schools.

We start again this year with the new calls: upper secondary schools can try their hand at the projects “From parliamentary classrooms to school classrooms. Constitution Lessons”, (for all classes), “Senato-Environment” (for third, fourth and fifth year classes) and “A day in the Senate” (for third and fourth year classes). The "Training day at Montecitorio" initiative is also aimed at high schools.

For lower secondary schools, "Witnesses to rights" is back (for the first and second classes) while the youngest can participate in "I would like a law that ..." (for the fifth grades of primary schools) with which children are invited to identify a topic of their interest on which to propose a bill, deepen its content, develop its title and articles, and finally illustrate it using an expressive method of your choice.

And then "Parlawiki-Build the vocabulary of democracy" which invites students to illustrate some "key words" of the democracy through the multimedia language to then publish the best works on the "La Camera per i Giovani" website for a selection and identification of the winners.
