Sartorel, CEO of Allianz SpA: "Italy is a key market where we want to invest in young people"

In the last three years, 90 percent of young people graduating from MIRM, the Masters in insurance and risk management organized by the MIB School of Management in Trieste, have found employment within six months of finishing the course. “MIRM represents a unique opportunity to enter the world of work through the front door”. This was underlined today by George Sartorel, CEO of Allianz SpA, speaking in Trieste at the "Graduation Day" of the XIII edition of the Master. Allianz, which has supported the MIB of Trieste since its foundation 25 years ago, is one of the companies that has most selected young talents with excellent academic profiles in the field of insurance and risk management from among MIRM graduates. In addition to Allianz, large insurance and consultancy companies such as Generali, Marsh, KPMG, Ernst&Young, PriceWaterhouseCooper, KPMG usually draw on MIRM, thus contributing to the growing international reputation of the Master.

Allianz strategy and objectives

George Sartorel took the opportunity of the Graduation Day to talk about Allianz's strategies and objectives for 2013, a key year for the group in Italy: "We believe that Italy is a country of great opportunities and here we want to grow and invest in young people – said the managing director of Allianz SpA -. In 2012 we laid the foundations for a profound renewal which this year will lead to the unification of the group's three agent networks under the Allianz brand. Our strategy, focused on multi-access, cross-channel and modular product offer, aims to respond to the needs of consumers "anywhere and at any time". “The digitization of our business model – explained Sartorel – will be the key element in 2013 and will allow us to make the most of our strengths: technical skills, excellent operating results, the strict discipline of cost control and a very solid financial position”. “Thanks to these strengths – added the CEO of Allianz SpA – investors and consumers have confirmed their trust in our group even in the most difficult phases of the crisis”.
