Poste Italiane's credit with the state is "less than two billion euros". This was declared by Massimo Sarmi, the company's managing director, on the sidelines of the hearing in the Chamber on the company's privatization project. Different, continued Sarmi, the components of the credit: "The universal service, credits for fiscal parts, etc…". On the part of the company, however, according to the words of the CEO "there is no anxiety to say that they must give them to us immediately".
As far as privatization is concerned, "in recent weeks, international investors have expressed interest in this awaited turning point". Our goal, concluded Sarmi, is to "strengthen the company from an international and national point of view".
