Healthcare: the first Consip tender for hi-tech devices is underway

CONSIP pushes the accelerator on digital healthcare. The Italian public company has published a new framework agreement worth 145 million with a duration of 12 months for the acquisition of more than 2 ultrasound scanners intended for health facilities public. 50% of the new generation ultrasound scanners will be reserved for PA purchases financed through Pnrr funds, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

"The framework agreement with multiple contractors - reads a note - guarantees a wide choice of ultrasound scanners through the "priority criterion" based on the merit ranking or the "technical choice criterion" which will allow you to order from any successful tenderer in the presence of technical or clinical reasons (e.g. delivery times, specific accessories for clinical diagnosis, etc.).

This is the first in a series of tenders from the purchasing department of the Italian public administration which will contribute to the creation of the Pnrr and, in particular, this initiative is part of mission 6 (Health). This will be followed by further procedures on diagnostic imaging.

In this house there are four lots in the competition, each of which is divided according to the type of equipment divided into two sub-lots, one of which is dedicated to the replacement of the now obsolete fleet of machines using Pnrr funds following the collection of needs carried out by the Ministry of Health with Regions and Autonomous Provinces: Lot 1: Multidisciplinary Ultrasounds, Lot 2: 3D Cardiological Ultrasounds, Lot 3: Cardiological Ultrasounds, Lot 4: Gynecological Ultrasounds.

Furthermore, latest generation technical characteristics capable of performing highly accurate diagnostic tests are required for the ultrasound scanners subject to the tender.

As regards the evaluation, the analysis of the equipment will take place through technical verification on the ultrasound and analysis of the bioimages, according to the specific protocols drawn up in collaboration with the Italian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (Siumb), the Italian Society of Medical Radiology and interventional (Sirm) and the Italian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecological Ultrasound (Sieog).
