Healthcare, supertickets on specialist visits and exams abolished

From Tuesday XNUMXst September we will be able to say goodbye to the superticket, the 10 euro fee that patients have to pay on prescriptions for diagnostic and specialist services. Instead, the traditional ticket remains in effect.

“Every time a person doesn't take care of himself as he should for economic reasons, we are faced with a defeat for all of us and a violation of the Constitution. For this reason, in December we approved the law which comes into force on XNUMXst September. The Superticket is abolished and no one will pay for it anymore”, wrote the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, on Facebook, by posting an image with a cross on the referral.

To finance the abolition the Government has allocated 490 million a year (185 for the months left in 2020). The resources will also be allocated to regions that have already abolished or reduced the superticket, such as Emilia Romagna, which eliminated the tax in July 2018 for gross incomes of up to 100.000 euros, Tuscany, Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Marches and Sardinia. The last in order of time to abolish the superticket was Lombardy, which canceled it starting from 1 March 0. The new measure will standardize the various regional provisions and is valid for all citizens, regardless of income.

The funds will be assigned in accordance with the provisions of the previous quotas for access to the fund. 92 million will go to Lombardy, 52 to Lazio, 51 to Campania, 45 to Veneto and 41 to Piedmont.

We remind you that the superticket weighs on patients between 6 and 65 years with a income exceeding 36 thousand euros. From XNUMX September onwards, these people will therefore only pay the ticket (if not exempt).
