Sanders wins hands down in Alaska and Washington

US primaries: Bernie Sanders can continue his challenge from the left to Hillary Clinton. Yesterday, the Democratic rival swept Alaska and Washington, based on initial data, and although Clinton remains the favorite, he can continue his race aiming for a final confrontation at the Democratic convention.

The Democrats voted in Alaska, in the State of Washington and in Hawaii with the caucus formula, the most congenial for Sanders, also in this case capable of galvanizing the crowds. In Alaska, the senator obtained 80,7%, while Clinton stopped at 19,3%. In Washington, Sanders won 72,3% of the vote to Clinton's 27,6%. In Hawaii the polls closed when it was late at night in Italy.

Washington State's result comes as Sanders is already speaking to a large audience in Madison, Wisconsin, an upcoming primary stop, and is greeted with cheers. «We are seriously undermining Secretary Clinton's advantage… we have a path to victory», exults the candidate, «no one can deny that our campaign is experiencing a favorable moment. We see huge turnout and winning is also getting people into the political process."

Sandrers underlines the support gained from young people: “Election after election we are winning with an extraordinary percentage of young people, and for me even 45-year-olds are young. We win with the future of America. With the young people of this country who love it to the point of wanting to make it better and are willing to fight for it".
