The challenge to Apple is officially launched, in the never-ending battle for leadership in the smartphone market. Samsung has launched the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge, the new top of the range, which represent a small revolution compared to the standards of the Korean house and an increasingly strong threat to iPhones.
To do this, to take the challenge to a new level, Samsung has decided first of all to change: via the removable battery also via the memory expansion slot. Also remove the plastic. The two new models are practically identical to each other, but the Edge, which costs 150 euros more, has a larger display surface and the possibility of accessing a side view.
On the edge of the latest Samsung smartphone, in fact, news, time and information of various kinds flow. The display, in fact, is equipped with a curved part where you can receive notifications and view texts, without having to use the entire central display. A new resource that certainly needs to be implemented, but which represents an absolute novelty in the sector.
Compared to its direct competitor i.e. the iPhone 6, the sixth generation of Galaxy possesses a more defined screen (577 PBI versus 326) and offers a two-app view with the split display running at breakneck speeds. The battery also seems to give Samsung an advantage over Apple, both in terms of duration and charging speed.
The price, however, is not the cheapest: the Edge 6 costs 889 euros for the 32GB version and 999 euros for the 64GB one. The normal S6 is slightly cheaper: 739 euros for the 32GB model, 849 for the 64GB one
