After 3D, micro and giant cell phones, now it's the turn of the curved screen. The new frontier of smartphones has been launched by Samsung, which has just presented the Galaxy Round, a 5,7-inch mobile device with a curved display.
The launch – explains the BBC – comes a few days after the announcement of LG, which has made it known that it is about to start the production of curved screen smartphones.
Samsung has stated that this particular type of display allows users a better experience of using some features of the phone when the screen is turned off. It will be easier to check information such as date, time and missed calls, but also change the song you are listening to.
The Galaxy Round will initially be sold only in South Korea. There are no indications for the rest of the world yet.
