Resignations that are seen as a way to put the big scandal behind us, but also the sensational fiasco of the Galaxy Note 7.

Despite a record quarter, CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon says goodbye to Samsung. The CEO of the South Korean giant announced his resignation saying the company faced an "unprecedented crisis" after the scandal that landed the heir to the South Korean empire, the vice president of Samsung, in prison for corruption Electronics and son of group chairman Lee Jae-Yong.

Resignations that are seen as a way to put the great crisis behind us, but also the sensational fiasco of the Galaxy Note 7.

On the books, Samsung expected a record operating profit in the third quarter, thanks in particular to the expansion of its memory chip sales. For the July-September period, an operating profit of 14.500 billion won (or 10,8 billion euros) is expected, an all-time record for a quarterly result, which has almost tripled compared to last year and revenues growing by almost 30% 62.000 billion won.

"Fortunately, the company is experiencing its best results of all time, but it is simply the result of past decisions and investments," said the outgoing CEO. “As we face an unprecedented crisis across the company, I believe the time has come to embark on a fresh start, with a new spirit and younger leadership, in order to better respond to the challenges of a rapidly changing technology sector” .
