Samsung and Huawei, excellent results

Samsung prepares to overtake Apple on the profit front. The Cupertino group should stop at 8,2 billion dollars, while the South Korean giant reported profits of 9,7 billion in the second quarter of 2017. Huawei, a young and virtuous company, is also doing well, with revenues from the sale of smartphones increasing by 20%

Samsung and Huawei, excellent results

Excellent results for Samsung and Huawei in the second quarter of 2017.

The South Korean electronics giant group posted record profits, with revenues increasing by around 9 billion compared to the same period of the previous year. The growth is mainly due to the strong demand for microchips and memory cards and, obviously, to the enormous marketing of Galaxy S8. The semiconductor sector has also driven growth.

Samsung therefore seems to have survived the crisis unscathed Galaxy Note 7 (with the explosion of 35 devices worldwide), and the arrest of Vice-President Lee Jae-yong for corruption

Very good too Huawei, the young Chinese company that for some years has launched the challenge to the leaders of the sector, offering quality devices and at a decidedly reduced price compared, for example, to that of the Apple iPhone. THE revenues increased by 36,2%, reaching $15,58 billion. The sale of smartphones is also growing, +20,6%.

Huawei's goal is now to expand its already large sales network, reaching 56 retail stores worldwide by the end of 2017, up from 35 in May 2016.
