Starting today, it is forbidden to bring Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices on board all Alitalia flights. Alitalia announces this in a statement in which it explains that "the decision to prohibit the carriage of these devices was taken following issued yesterday by the US Department of Transportation which, to ensure the highest standards of safety on board, has banned Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on all planes in the United States. Therefore, starting today, this Samsung device cannot even be taken into the cabin with you or in your hand luggage. In recent days, Alitalia had already banned their transport in hold luggage or as cargo shipments".
