Salvatore Ferragamo, the Florentine luxury maison, landed this morning in Piazza Affari. The quotation takes place on the MTA market. On the first day of trading, in the opening pre-auction, the entry of orders without price limits is not permitted.
The placement price was set in recent days at 9 euros per share. It was deemed appropriate by the managers due to the discount compared to the sector and the situation of the equity markets. Ferragamo should raise 344 million euros from the IPO.
The operation follows a similar one by Prada in Hong Kong, which has already closed with relative success, despite the difficult times in the financial markets.
