The exhibition event dedicated to the everlasting genius of Salvador Dalì (Figueres 1904 – 1989), will take place in Palazzo Belloni, a prestigious historic building in Bologna at 19 Via Barberia, the fulcrum of an unprecedented event that will involve and enliven the whole city.

About 200 works from the "The Dalì Universe" Collection, one of the richest documentations of Dalì's artistic history, will be the protagonists of an interactive and multimedia itinerary, which invites the visitor to an engaging and participatory experience. It consists of 22 museum sculptures, 10 glass works made in the late 60s in collaboration with the famous Daum glassware in Nancy, 12 Gold objects, more than 100 graphics taken from 10 illustrated books and 4 monumental sculptures that will be positioned in points strategic points of the historical centre.

Curated by the Loop creative group, Italian excellence in the design of interactive technologies applied to art and design, Dalì Experience was created to bring the general public closer to the lesser known aspects of the phantasmagoric Catalan artist, with a latest generation approach.

The unconventional curatorial aspect becomes a "creative act" which, starting from the work, returns further levels of use and understanding, and involves every aspect of the exhibition, as if it were a total work. The intent is to empathize with the artist to convey an emotional, non-didactic message to the public, where multimedia and interaction become an integral part of the narration and not accessory or side elements.

Visitors will delve into the labyrinth of the author's multifaceted mind to discover the creative results of his infinite imagination. A journey through multi-dimensions: from the two-dimensionality of the graphics, to the three-dimensionality of the sculptures, up to the virtual fourth dimension beyond space and time.

The spectator will be continually stimulated to bring into play all the senses to interact with the Dalì universe, in which the works dialogue with interactive installations (3D animations, augmented reality, immersive projections) in a tour of continuous discovery and surprise, which invites to experiment. In the exhibition you will discover the different souls of the master, whose creative contribution is not only associated with surrealist painting but touches the most diverse and fertile areas of XNUMXth century culture: from cinema to fashion, from design to advertising, from literature to cooking , up to psychoanalysis, particle physics and new technologies.

The idea, and the challenge, is to rethink exhibition spaces as containers that are fluid inside and open to the outside, in osmosis with the territory; propulsive centers from which culture expands in a centrifugal way, involving the city to make it a participant and protagonist. For this reason, 360-degree "surreal" appointments and events will be scheduled, which will also take place by surprise and in unpredictable places, in partnership with local institutions and realities, in a continuous relationship outside-in, online-offline, real-virtual.

For example, an Augmented Reality App will be available to observe the urban landscape with Dalì's gaze, discovering the strange objects of his world distributed throughout the territory, and take photos to share them on the main social networks, where the exhibition will have a constant presence. with the hashtag #daliexperience.

Dalì Experience is also the first stage of a wide-ranging project and inaugurates the central location of Palazzo Belloni, strategically positioned between Piazza Malpighi and Piazza Maggiore. An exhibition space of about 800 square meters on the ground floor which is proposed as a reference point for a new way of making exhibitions in an interdisciplinary, open and experiential sense.
