Among the most significant evaluation parameters, the degree of maturity reached by the company in adopting the most effective best practices at an international level was analysed: Terna was recognized for the use of innovative solutions to protect the safety and health of workers.

Terna won the Safety Award promoted by Confindustria and INAIL with the high patronage of the Presidency of the Republic, which was awarded on Wednesday at the headquarters in viale dell'Astronomia during a conference in the presence of the President of Confindustria Vincenzo Boccia. For Terna, the Head of the Corporate Affairs Division, Giuseppe Lasco and the Director of Company Protection, Marcello Grosso received the award.

This recognition bears witness to Terna's leadership in the use of increasingly innovative solutions to protect the safety and health of workers. Among the most significant evaluation parameters, the degree of maturity reached by the company in adopting the most effective international best practices was analysed, considered one of the main indicators of a corporate culture that evaluates safety as a strategic tool for maintaining and enhance your competitive advantage.

The fourth edition of "Companies Award for Security", promoted by Confindustria and Inail with the technical collaboration of Apqi (Italian Quality Award Association) and Accredia (Italian Accreditation Body) recognizes companies that have distinguished themselves for their commitment in terms of health and safety management, as a useful example to the valorisation and dissemination of their experiences for the awareness of other companies and workers on regulatory, cultural, organizational and behavioral aspects.

The purpose of the initiative is to create a real corporate culture in terms of health and safety, topics that are today assuming growing importance for the entire Italian production system, rewarding the best companies that stand out for the excellence of the management process and, in particular, for the concrete commitment and the results achieved in terms of health and safety.

“We are very proud of the certificate we received today – he declares Giuseppe Lasco, Director of Terna's Corporate Affairs Division – which once again rewards Terna's commitment to adopting and spreading a culture that considers all-round safety as a strategic asset for the creation of value”.
