The Pini Group, active in pig slaughtering and specialized in the production of bresaola, invests in the capital of Ferrarini spa, a historic company in the cured meats sector that has been in crisis for some time and forced into an arrangement with creditors. The agreement, in addition to "guaranteeing employment continuity without any production relocation - reads the note from the Pini Group - gives birth to a unique supply chain project in the sector which will make it possible to face global markets and allow Ferrarini to grow thanks to a strategic investor with the ability to support the production of over 900.000 cured hams in the Lesignano de' Bagni (PR) plant and over 1,5 million cooked hams produced per year”.
At the same time, the Pini Group – which has a turnover of more than 1,6 billion euros a year – will be able to take advantage of Ferrarini's international commercial structure, extending the distribution of bresaola to all the main world markets.
"The operation will take place through the contribution of new financial resources as part of an agreement with direct business continuity - continues the note - the company will therefore not be transferred and relations with employees will remain" currently in place.
“I am very satisfied with the agreement reached – comments the President of Ferrarini spa Lisa Ferrarini – Fantastic opportunities are created for our companies at an international level with the possibility of developing high quality products, witnesses of Made in Italy”.
Satisfaction also from the sole director of Pini Italia, Roberto Pini: "This operation will allow our family to integrate all phases of the production process: thanks to commercial relations with foreign countries, we are confident we can give a new important boost to the development of the Ferrarini brand both from an industrial and commercial point of view. The investment for our group is absolutely strategic and long-term”. priority51 \lsd
