The trade unions have proclaimed a twelve-hour strike package to be held within the month of May in all Whirlpool-Indesit plants in Italy. The decision was taken by Fim, Fiom and Uilm after the breakdown of the negotiations with the company which today confirmed the plan which provides for the closure of the factories.
For the general secretary of Uilm, Rocco Palombella, “now it's up to the government to make itself heard by the company. We have said and reiterated ours. Agreements must be respected".
