Salini: "Impregilo operates in total violation of the statute"

La tension between Gavio and Salini it does not loosen. This time Salini, a 29,2% shareholder of Impregilo, accuses the general contractor of not complying with the law and the statute. The current directors of Impregilo allegedly governed the company outside the limits of the law and in total and repeated violation of the corporate purpose. In fact, continues Salini, Impregilo has focused its business excessively on the concessions sector, when the statute expressly forbids it.

“By statute (and therefore by law) Impregilo is a pure constructor“, reads a note from the Salini group, “. In fact, the corporate purpose envisaged by statute prevents Impregilo, without a shadow of a doubt, from operating in the concessions sector, both motorways and other works or systems".

According to Salini the Board of Directors in office “must be revoked for just cause, without the revoked directors being able to make claims for damages against Impregilo. Furthermore, it causes them to be obliged to pay compensation for any damage caused to Impregilo by their actions”.

Salini's goal is to create a "national champion" in construction with Impregilo, but it comes up against the opposition of the Gavio group, a shareholder with 29,96%.

In the mid-afternoon, the Impregilo stock it lost 0,23% to 3,49 euros per share.
