The construction company aims to close the project with banks and Cdp by Monday 15 July, according to what was declared by the CFO Massimo Ferrari, who then plans to launch the capital increase in October, to bring an additional 225 million euros into the company's coffers. These resources will be used to acquire control of 65% of Astaldi and to strengthen the capital structure of Salini Impregilo, thus creating a new national champion.
Ferrari also ruled out that the government's request for an extra dividend to the CDP could change anything: "I don't think there are any problems". Finally, the manager of Salini Impregilo he did not say too much about the name of the future president of Progetto Italia: “The debate is premature, there is time”, he commented. The feverish wait for the closing of the operation has so far not received the support of investors, given that in the last session before D-Day on Monday 15 July, i.e. that of Friday 12 July, the Salini Impregilo share lost more than 3 %, at 1,7 euros, and has been continuously declining since 4 July, when it had come close to 2 euros per share.
