Salini: 800 million contract in Australia, title up

Salini Impregilo has signed a contract worth 791,7 million euros (1,176 billion Australian dollars) for the design, construction and maintenance of an underground railway line in Perth, Australia. This was communicated by the same CEO of the group, Pietro Salini: "We have just signed an important AUD 1,176 billion contract in Perth," he explained.

The works carried out by the consortium led by Salini with an 80% share will begin in the coming months and will last until 2020. Salini and the consortium partner NRW Pty Ltd have signed the contract with the Western Australian government.

At the same time, it should also be emphasized that Salini's shareholders approved the 2015 financial statements, which closed with a profit of 35,7 million, and the distribution to ordinary shares of a dividend of 0,04 euro and 0,26 euro for savings. The meeting also decided to increase the number of directors from 15 to 17 members, appointing Grazia Volo and Alessandro Salini.

The good news from Australia gave impetus to the share which on Piazza Affari gained 4,8% to 3,888 euros.
