One of the favorite periods of fashion and shopping lovers has arrived and in general of those who have to go shopping and want to try to spend a little less, taking advantage of the now notorious summer sales.

Discounts of 20, 30, 40, even 50% on a wide range of products will be available from July 1 throughout Italy. In fact, this year, from Palermo to Rome, from Florence to Milan, the start date of the sales will be the same in all cities, while the duration of the discounts will vary, which will change from Region to Region. Generally speaking, in most territories the deadline for making discounted purchases will be the end of August, but in Lazio and Liguria the conclusion is anticipated, while in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Valle d'Aosta the sales will last even until 31 September .

According to Codacons, “consumers have taken into account a spending budget similar to last year's, and will take advantage of the sales to make targeted purchases with an eye on their wallets. The average Italian receipt will be around 67 euros per capita, and just over half of the families (54%) will make one or more purchases under the sales regime”.

As per tradition, clothing stores will register the greatest turnout, with outlets and boutiques in the lead, but the discounts on household appliances will also not be underestimated.

  • Abruzzo: 1st July – 30th August
  • Basilicata: 1 July – 2 September
  • Calabria: 1 July – 1 September
  • Campania: 1st July – 30th August
  • Emilia Romagna: 1st July – 30th August
  • Friuli Venezia Giulia: 1st July – 30th September
  • Lazio: from July 1st for six weeks (therefore August 12th)
  • Liguria: 1 July – 15 August
  • Lombardy: 1 July – 30 August
  • Marches: 1st July – 1st September
  • Molise: 1st July – 30th August
  • Piedmont: from 1 July for eight non-consecutive weeks
  • Puglia: 1 July – 15 September
  • Sardinia: 1st July – 30th August
  • Sicily: 1st July – 15th September
  • Trentino Alto Adige: different dates from municipality to municipality
  • Tuscany: 1st July – 30th August
  • Umbria: 1st July – 30th August
  • Valle d'Aosta: 1 July – 30 September
  • Veneto: 1st July – 31st August
