The second criminal section of the Milan Court of Appeal confirmed the sentence to a fine of 600 thousand euros and the confiscation of 24,5 million euros for Saipem, in the second instance trial on the alleged payment of bribes in Nigeria.

Saipem is charged under law 231/2001 on the administrative liability of entities, in relation to the crime of international corruption which was charged against the former manager of Sanmprogetti (a company which later merged into Saipem - Eni group), declared in the meantime prescribed against the accused persons physical. The first instance sentence was issued by the fourth section of the Milan court on 11 July 2013. The reasons for the appeal ruling will be published in 90 days.

Meanwhile in Piazza Affari the Saipem share, which gained 23% in the last month, fell by 1,8% around 15 pm, €9,265 per share.
