New contract in Saudi Arabia and in the Middle East for Saipem, for a total value of approximately 2 billion dollars. Saudi Aramco has awarded Saipem an EPC contract for the expansion of onshore production centers in the Khurais, Mazajili and Abu Jifan fields.
The construction of the new plants will allow for the treatment of an additional 300 barrels per day from the Khurais field, while the assembly of ancillary plants will allow the restoration of production of 200 barrels per day from the Abu Jifan and Mazalij fields. The Khourais field, which is located about 150 km north-east of Riyadh, is a giant field that extends for a length of 127 km and occupies an area of 2890 sq km.
