Saipem, new orders worth 1 billion in the world

In Abu Dhabi, the plant engineering company of the Eni group has acquired a contract for the design and construction of a 260-kilometer railway line - In Morocco, on the other hand, it will deal with the expansion of the port of Tangier - Lastly, various modifications to onshore contracts already negotiated signed in Latin America, West Africa and Australia.

New one billion euro contracts for Saipem. The plant engineering company of the Eni group has been awarded a series of onshore contracts mainly in the Middle East and North Africa.

Ad Abu Dhabi, as leader of the joint-venture with Dodsal Engineering and Maire Tecnimont, has acquired a contract for the design and construction of the railway line which will connect the gas production areas of Shah and Habshan with the port of Ruwais.

The contract, which will be carried out on behalf of the Etihad Rail Company by 2014, involves the development of a line over 260 kilometers long. The infrastructure will make it possible to transport over 7 million tons a year of sulfur deriving from the processing of hydrocarbons.

As for the Morocco, as part of a joint venture with Bouygues Travaux Publics and Bouygues Maroc, Saipem has been awarded an Epc contract by Tangier Mediterranean Special Agency for the expansion of the Port of Tangier. The project involves the construction of two breakwaters and 2.800 meters of new docks, for a total area of ​​132 hectares reclaimed from the sea.

Completion of the project is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014. Finally, the Italian company has negotiated various increases in the work on onshore contracts already signed in Latin America, West Africa and Australia.

At 15 pm, the share of Saipem gains 30% in Piazza Affari. Maire Tecnimont, on the other hand, rises by as much as 6,27%.
