Saipem, contracts are multiplying

The company signed new agreements totaling $600 million – new for both offshore (Nigeria and UAE) and onshore (Saudi Arabia, Peru, Colombia and Kazakhstan) drilling.

Still good news for Saipem, which has brought home new contracts for a total value of 600 million dollars. The oil company has acquired from Eni a contract for the charter of the Saipem 10000, a vessel capable of drilling in water up to 10 feet deep. From Addax Petroleum, on the other hand, the company has acquired a contract that provides for the extension of the rental of the Scarabeo 3 drilling vessel, used for operations in Nigerian waters. In the United Arab Emirates, the contract with NDC for the Perro Negro 2 jack-up has been extended.
As for onshore drilling, Saipem has signed new agreements for 15 new rigs. In Saudi Arabia, the company obtained the lease of four drilling rigs from Saudi Aramco. In Peru and Colombia, Saipem has acquired new contracts with various customers for the use of a total of 9 rigs. Finally, in Kazakhstan, another two drilling rigs were chartered.
