Safilo bets on Saudi Arabia

After the agreement with Maxxivision for entry into Iran, the Padua-based eyewear group decides to focus on Saudi Arabia. Since mid-June agreement with Dr. Mazen, excellence in healthcare, for exclusive distribution. Two new showrooms, one also in the capital Riyadh.

Safilo bets on Saudi Arabia

Safilo Group has announced an agreement with Dr. Mazen Fakeeh C. Healthcare Company for exclusive distribution in Saudi Arabia starting mid-June 2017.

At the same time, the Italian Group based in Calalzo di Cadore renewed the partnership, which has now lasted for more than 25 years, with Optitalia Gulf for distribution in other Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar). 

The agreements materialize with the opening of two new showrooms, one in Jeddah and the other in Riyadh, which will present the five Safilo eyewear collections: l'Extra luxury atelier (Elie Saab) the Fashion Luxury  (Dior, Fendi, Jimmy Choo, Givenchy, Celine) premium brands (BOSS and Max Mara), the Lifestyle (Carrera, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Fossil, Pierre Cardin, Bobbi Brow) and finally the rapidly growing Mass Cool segment of (Polaroids and havaianas).

In 2016, the Group totaled €1,3 billion in revenues, down 2% on 2015 (-1,2% at constant exchange rates) but recorded positive results in the Middle East, with double-digit growth for the second consecutive year.
