New alliance in fashion and luxury. Safilo, the Padua-based group among the world leaders in the design, production and distribution of eyewear, and Missoni, one of the best known and loved Italian fashion and design brands, have announced a new five-year global agreement for the eyewear license of the Missoni and M Missoni brands, renewable under the same conditions until 2029.

The new Missoni and M Missoni eyewear collections will be presented to the market in January 2020, preceded by a digital communication campaign that will reveal the creative process of the new eyewear step by step. “Missoni and M Missoni fit perfectly into our portfolio. Safilo shares the same values of visionary design, tradition and excellence in the manufacturing sector with these Italian brands,” said Angelo Trocchia, CEO of Safilo Group. “We can also draw on our extensive historical archive, full of inspiration, to ensure collections that give further impetus to the business and growth of both our companies”.

It should be remembered that for Missoni the agreement reached with Safilo is a sort of return to the past, as Safilo was the first eyewear licensee in the 80s.
