Safilo does not renew with Armani: the Veneto group first rises to +11% on the Stock Exchange, today it collapses again

After the announcement of the non-renewal with Armani, the Safilo stock first suffers, then rebounds decisively, then (today) collapses again. Before opening the bag the Venetian eyewear group announced Armani's decision to not renew, after the natural expiry of December 31, 2012, the license agreement with Safilo for the design, production and distribution of eyewear.

Subsequently, Luxottica announced that it had signed a letter of intent with the Armani group preparatory to the stipulation of a ten-year license agreement at market conditions starting from 2013 January XNUMX.

Despite this news, yesterday Safilo up 11%, to 4,784 euros. The volumes are lively, already more than twice the average of an entire session.

Safilo's prices, analysts and traders underline, had already discounted the negative effects of a possible loss of the contract, which had been talked about for some time. From the beginning of the year to yesterday, the stock lost almost 68%.

Today, however, the Safilo Group share is again on the Stock Exchange: by mid-morning shares had slipped -0,8%. Luxottica was also negative: -0,5%
