SACE, guarantee for Coeclerici operations in Indonesia

SACE intervenes for the second time in the last two years in support of the Coeclerici Group, "leading international operator in the supply of integrated services for the procurement of raw materials, in particular coal, for the world of the iron and steel and energy industries".

The insurance-financial group will offer a 50% guarantee on a 57,8 million dollar loan granted by a group of leading European banks (including the Italian bank Carige), to finance the expansion of operations in Indonesia and specifically for the purchase of four ships Floating Transfer Stations which will be used for the transhipment of coal (up to 18 million tons per year) from the Borneo mines to ocean-going vessels owned by the PT Berau Coal mining group.

With this operation, the Coecleric Group will strengthen its presence in a market, that of coal in the Indonesian region, for which the medium-term prospects are very positive. In addition to the energy sector, according to SACE forecasts, Indonesia will offer growing opportunities for Italian exports, with an average growth rate of 10,7% over the next two years.
