SACE supports Vinitaly for export

The international exhibition of Vinitaly opens on Sunday 6 April at the Fiera di Verona. The SACE group will be present at Vinitaly to present insurance-financial opportunities and tools suitable for strengthening the growth process of companies in the wine supply chain.

"Support for exports and liquidity are the cornerstones of our commitment alongside companies in the wine supply chain, one of the most important flags of Made in Italy in the world - declared the president of SACE, Giovanni Castellaneta visiting Vinitaly -. A commitment that is reflected in the ever-increasing operations of SACE in this sector, throughout the Italian territory. Today we are here to make it grow".

Among the initiatives, SACE will present during the Vinitaly days the loans for EUR 40 million, allocated by Creval and Banca Popolare di Sondrio and guaranteed by SACE, still available to support the working capital needs of wineries throughout the their production cycle, from the harvest to the sale in Italy or, as now in most cases, in foreign countries.

While the more traditional reference markets are slowing down, in fact, the socio-economic changes in many non-EU countries (driven by Russia, China, the United States, Japan and Australia) continue to be the main driver of the generation of new opportunities, in the coming years, for the symbolic drink of the Mediterranean.

The ranking Top Sector of the SACE Report, which indicates the sectors with the greatest potential for exports in the next four years (2014-2017), finds its point of excellence precisely in the wine sector. In fact, it is led by the agri-food sector (+8,9%), which is in turn driven, on foreign markets, by the wine sector. A result made possible by the various strengths that characterize our productions and which are allowing the wines of all regions of Italy, even those once less known abroad, to exert a appeal growing on international consumers, increasingly sophisticated. In addition to the certified quality and the fact that they are perceived as genuine products, Italian foodstuffs have characteristics of continuous innovation and originality: capable of intercepting and creating new consumption trends and lifestyle.
