SACE, a CDP Group company, announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chamber of Commerce of Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement is intended to actively strengthen the economic-commercial relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia and to contribute to the identification of new cross-border opportunities for the companies of the two countries. Thanks to the agreement, Italian companies active or interested in operating in the country and potential Saudi buyers will have a point of contact at the Chamber of Commerce and a team of specialists available for meetings and on-site assistance.

“This initiative lays the foundations for a partnership that will allow us to bring out important new opportunities in a market of primary interest for Italian exporters. – declared Michal Ron, Managing Director International Business of SACE -. With €1 billion of exposure, Saudi Arabia ranks third in our Middle East region portfolio and we are already working on new projects worth €1,7 billion across a wide range of sectors ranging from oil & gas to the chemical and petrochemical sector, from infrastructure to the medical sector up to instrumental mechanics”.

The signing takes place a few days after the inauguration of the SACE office in Dubai and is part of a Roadshow which saw SACE involved in various workshops in Abu Dhabi and in Jeddah itself.
