A reconciliatory lunch was held today at Palazzo Chigi, convened by Prime Minister Enrico Letta who received Finance Minister Fabrizio Saccomanni and Bank of Italy governor Ignazio Visco to take stock of the country's economic and financial situation, after the concerns expressed by the Bank of Italy on the state of uncertainty of the current political situation.

"There are signs of improvement", Saccomanni and Visco said in unison as they left the three-way summit at Palazzo Chigi which lasted two hours and therefore, despite the perplexities that emerged on the eve ("Resumption in October but political stability is needed ”, warned the number one of the Bank of Italy), had an encouraging result. Minister Saccomanni also made a point of recalling at the same time as the summit that in 2013 they are tax revenues, one of the main objectives of the new government to pay off the public debt and plan reforms for growth: between January and June they amounted to 197.029 million euros, recording an increase of 3,1% (+5.898 million euros) compared to the same period of the previous year.
