Ryanair, the famous Irish low-cost airline, reconfirms a growth in profits in the third quarter. Recipe? An increase in ticket fares (+17%) and other ancillary revenues (+5,9%) and the consequent growth in turnover more than offset the rise in fuel prices.
These are the data that the company has recorded. A profit of 14,9 million euros which compares with a loss of 10,3 million reported the previous year. Positive revenues (+13%) to 844,4 million euro, although passenger traffic fell by 2%. Flattering results that allow the company to aim higher than expected for the current year, anticipating a profit of 480 million compared to the 440 previously indicated.
Michael O'Leary, number one of the company, is satisfied with the results obtained. Part of the credit also goes to the absence of snow, which severely tested Ryanair's revenues last winter, and the reduction of flights per leg.
