Ryanair, now it costs less to check the suitcase. Discounts are on the way

Starting today, Friday, it will cost less to load a suitcase on the Irish low-cost airline: in the case of a domestic journey of less than two hours, a 50% discount, if there are three hours, the discount is 17% – According to Ryanair estimates, more than 90% of the company's customers will enjoy these concessions.

In fact, starting tomorrow, the Irish low-cost airline will welcome customers at check-in with discounts on baggage fees: in the case of a domestic journey lasting less than two hours, loading a suitcase could cost half, while if the hours are at least three the discount will be 17%.

The announcement was made by the airline itself, which estimates that at least 90% of its passengers will be facilitated by these measures. In detail, for flights under two hours the cost for a weight of up to 15 kg drops from 30 to 15 euros, while from 15 to 20 kilos it goes from 40 to 25. The savings for flights under three hours are more contained. which drop respectively from 30 to 25 euros and from 40 to 35. The costs for flights over three hours remain unchanged: 40 and 50 euros.

Ryanair will also reduce to six baggage fare options, instead of the current 98. Customers, adds the company's chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs, “They will pay the same price for checked baggage whether purchased at the time of their initial booking or added later to their booking, irrespective of seasonality and will also have the option to add bags to their bookings via the Ryanair app until 3 hours before the scheduled departure time”.
