Keep improving Russia's economy. The country, which is part of the BRICS, in January it recorded a growth of 3,9% on an annual basis, even if compared to the month of December it marks a slight contraction of 0,1% (net of seasonal factors).
He reported it today the Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina, blaming the setback on a "slowdown in retail sales and investment activity." However, Nabiullina underlined the good dynamics of the industry, which according to a new estimate grew by 1%, compared to the 0,4% predicted by the Rosstat statistics agency.
The minister also declared himself optimistic for this year's forecasts: growth of 3,9% over the whole of 2012.
