Rossi-Marquez: Honda and Yamaha, vitriolic clash

Five days after the day of truth in Valencia, the tension over the Rossi-Marquez case shows no sign of abating. Honda accuses, Yamaha counterattacks. "Both press releases, including the statements accusing Valentino Rossi of kicking Marc Marquez's bike, have not been proven by the race director's investigation": thus Yamaha replies to Honda which yesterday accused Valentino Rossi of allegedly kicking track to Marquez in Sepang, contact after which Marquez crashed and Rossi was penalized by starting from the back row in Valencia. Penalty against which Rossi appealed to the CAS.

Movistar Yamaha responded to the press release issued by Honda Racing Corporation as follows: "We are referring to the press release issued by Repsol Media Service on Sunday 25 October 2015, entitled 'Pedrosa wins and Marquez falls after Rossi's incorrect kick', as well as the print issued by Honda Racing Corporation on Monday November 2, entitled 'Q&A with Shuhei Nakamoto'. Yamaha - as reported by the MotoGp website - wishes to express its disagreement with the words that have been used in reference to the accident between the riders Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez. Both press releases, including statements accusing Valentino Rossi of kicking Marc Marquez's bike, they have not been proven by the race director's investigation. We therefore reject the wording used in said statements which do not correspond to the conclusions of the tender management".

Yamaha “has no desire to enter into further controversy regarding this matter and our desire is to conclude the 2015 MotoGP season in the best possible way. We go to Valencia with the clear intention of trying to do our best to win what we hope will be a memorable race with all the riders and teams in exemplary competition, as befits the premier class of motorcycling.”
