"Roma doc": between Culture, Promotion and Business, the wines of the capital focus on the brand of the Eternal City

The DOC wines of the capital as ambassadors of tourism of the capital but also strongly linked to its brand in the business.  The Consorzio di Tutela Vini Roma DOC has engaged in numerous activities that have brought the labels of the territory to important stages such as ProWein, Vinitaly, Merano and VitignoItalia. A real tour de force that had as its guiding principle the careful promotion of the wines and companies belonging to the Consortium. And now with the “Roma DOC…et” project, a series of actions equally divided between culture, promotion and business with the capital as the objective.

"Rome is and must be the natural commercial reference for our cellars – explains Tullio Galassini, President of the Consortium – This obviously does not mean giving up the promotion of our wines also in other scenarios but simply reiterating the fact that the Capital represents the logical landing place for all of us. Precisely for this reason, in the coming months, through the Roma DOC…et project, we will work to create a strong liaison between our producers and the Roman trade world. Certain that we can count on the contribution of the institutions and trade associations, with whom we want to set up a working table that creates the premises for a synergistic operation that can bear fruit".

Roma DOC…et will move on several fronts. In fact, it will continue in the policy of promotion towards consumers, through participation in the most important industry events such as VitignoItalia (Naples 14 and 15 May), Vinòforum (Rome from 9 to 18 June, in the first five evenings) and still on the calendar: participation in VinoXRoma (24/27 May), in Hortus Vini 16/18 June and in Ostia during Divine Sea (July 8).

But it will also speak to insiders, with tailor-made situations for them. In fact, an event reserved for the Roman trade is scheduled for 5 June which will take place on the roof terrace of the Hotel Flora, in via Veneto. While on July 17 the Consortium's labels will be tasted during a special event organized in collaboration with the FIS at the Cavalieri Hilton in via Cadlolo which will also see a masterclass reserved for a limited number of guests.

Also during the months of May and June, the Consortium has also organized a series of press tours which will allow the sector press to learn more about the various areas that characterize the territory of the denomination.

"The whole keeping alive the relationship with cultural situations and actively working on the education of responsible and conscious drinking – underlines Rossella Macchia, Vice-President of the Consortium – Roma DOC…et is a wide-ranging project that follows parallel but strongly connected paths. A discourse that will not end in the coming months but which will continue by placing the focus on issues such as promotion, tourism, business; but also training, attention to sustainability, relations with the media. We are a young Consortium but we have all the intentions and will to carry out our projects with the utmost enthusiasm and professionalism”.
