Romans, the agreement between Italian partners and EDF postponed to 30 October

The definition of the new agreements between the Italian partners and EDF is postponed to 30 October. This was reported by the Minister of Economic Development, Paolo Romani, following the business breakfast with Edf's number one, Henry Proglio, in which the future structure of Edison was discussed.

The deadline of the agreements had already been extended from March to September. “We took some time off – explained the minister – considering the good reception that EDF's presence has received in Italy. We haven't gone into the technical aspects, I just ensured the government's attention to the agreement”.

It was “a very positive meeting – said the minister -. We talked about many energy problems. France and Italy have many interests in common. I recall a few that, for example, concern the supply of gas, with the Itgi gas pipeline and the Galsi, the first from Azerbaijan, the second in North Africa. These are interests that Edison has, in which Edf is a participant. I also remember the great collaboration that exists between Enel and Edf”.

The minister "welcomed Edf's willingness to actively continue dialogue and collaboration on the various sectors of the energy sector in Italy and internationally - reads a note - also in the light of the new national strategy that the government is preparing and which he will present in the second half of November”.

The news had a good response on the financial markets. Around 15 pm, Edison's stock manages to contain the losses, recording a drop of about half a point against a general collapse of the Ftse Mib of more than 30%.
