Also this year, the very rich program includes historic, modern and contemporary buildings including construction sites, private houses, architectural studios and many collateral events. Spaces of great architectural and historical-artistic value, some usually inaccessible, which come alive, come to life and open up to citizens exclusively this weekend.

For four years now, the event has contributed to making the city a place available to the community by opening the doors of more than 2012 places to citizens and tourists since 300. The city, from the center to the periphery, is the protagonist of the event with over 240 visits and events in 7 macro-areas divided as follows: Historic centre, Flaminio-Parioli, Nomentano-Tiburtina, Esquilino-San Lorenzo, Monteverde-Ostiense, Appio-San Giovanni, Eur-Corviale.

Once again Open House is free and open to all, no ticket to pay, neither for the guided tours carried out at each site nor for the numerous initiatives scheduled online on the site www.openhouseroma.org and in paper version with the outgoing guide attached to Trovaroma of La Repubblica of 30 April. Unlike the previous editions, there will be few sites accessible by reservation; more than 80% of these will, in fact, have free access on a first-come, first-served basis based on the times indicated in the programme.

The 2015 edition, full of novelties and even more extensive, will touch upon the themes of the contemporary debate offering, through the lens of architecture, an unprecedented view: starting from food, with an eye to EXPO now upon us, with an event at the GIMEMA onlus Foundation dedicated to the comparison between architecture-kitchen and research, to move on to the mapping and opening up of those hybrid spaces of creativity that bear witness to the new dimensions of work, up to the point of discovering the places in the more "external" areas of the city Eterna”, districts such as Corviale, San Basilio, Vigne Nuove, true laboratories of the urban and cultural transformation of today's Rome.

Also this year many media partnerships have been activated for this edition including Archiportale/Archilovers, DOMUS, Zero, Artapartofcult(ure).

Open House Rome is made possible thanks to the work of the non-profit Open City Rome, its partners and over 400 volunteers including students, professors, architects and simple enthusiasts, who every year ensure that the capital's treasures can once again be revealed to everyone. From this year everyone will be able to support the Open House Rome project with a small donation in the more than 60 stalls present in some of the scheduled sites.
