The Roman prosecutors are putting the spotlight on the previous relations between the Grillo councilor for the environment, Paola Muraro, of the Giunta Raggi and the ras of the capital's landfills, Manlio Cerroni. “For now there is nothing criminally relevant” they hasten to say from the 5 Star Movement, but inside the planet grillino the malaise is mounting.
The fact that for now there are no criminal charges against Muraro does not erase the question of questions and that is whether it were politically appropriate to appoint a competent but controversial character who represents the continuity with the past and with the world of the Panzironis as Councilor for the Environment (the president of the Ama, the municipal waste company, wanted by the former right-wing mayor Alemanno) and of the Cerronis., with dangerous contiguity with some characters from Mafia Capitale.
The hypothesis of pushing Muraro to resign is for now considered the M5S plan B in relation to judicial developments.
The trial by fire will be on Wednesday when Muraro and Mayor Raggi will have to answer questions from the opposition, and above all from the Democratic Party, in a classroom on the Capitoline Hill that promises to be on fire.
