Rome, Raggi is also under investigation for the Romeo case

The appointment of Salvatore Romeo costs him and the first citizen the accusation, in competition, of abuse of office: for the 5-star mayor it is already the second investigation against.

Rome, Raggi is also under investigation for the Romeo case

Salvatore Romeo, former head of the political secretariat of the mayor of Rome, is accused of abuse of office in relation to his own appointment and in competition with the first citizen of the capital, Virginia Raggi, which therefore sees the charges against him rise to two after the one – again for abuse of office – relating to the Marra case.

Romeo's interrogation - according to what was learned in Piazzale Clodio - was scheduled for Wednesday, but could be postponed by a day or two due to previous commitments by the lawyer. The magistrates would also be willing to ask for the reasons that led Romeo to take out life insurance policies, then indicating Raggi and other militants of the M5s as beneficiaries.

Those who investigate want to understand if there are further profiles, unknown at the moment. Romeo went from an official in the Participate Department, with a salary of 39 euros a year to a political position, with a salary of 110 euros, then dropped to 93 after the intervention of the Anac. Then came the resignation following the arrest of Raffaele Marra.
