Rome, Pallotta: "Without a stadium, I'm selling everyone". Fans in revolt

Ultimatum from the patron of Roma to the Municipality of Rome: "Without the green light to the stadium, stop investments and put all the best players up for sale" - The fans, enraged against the Giunta Raggi, will meet tomorrow in the Campidoglio for a demonstration of protest.

Rome, Pallotta: "Without a stadium, I'm selling everyone". Fans in revolt

The President of AS Roma, James Pallotta sharpens his weapons in view of the decisive meeting on Friday 24 February between the company and the junta led by Mayor Virginia Raggi, who however will not be there due to an illness. It will be precisely at this juncture that the decision on the now infamous Tor di Valle stadium will arrive.

The premises are not the best. The words spoken yesterday by Beppe Grillo, “Stadium yes, but on another area”, they sent the Giallorossi top management out of the game. It is clear to everyone, including Grillo, that changing the area would mean starting from scratch, an "impossible" possibility for everyone.

The Roma president does not mince words when commenting on the latest vicissitudes: “We expect a decidedly positive outcome from the meeting scheduled for Friday. Otherwise, it would be a catastrophe. For the future of AS Roma, Italian football, the city of Rome and frankly for future investments in Italy.”

The message is clear. An about-face by the Giunta of Rome, in addition to pushing the company to ask for damages equal to one billion (which would cause the Capitol to collapse), could jeopardize the future from the same team. If the stadium project fails, the investments of the American tycoon could also fail. Which translates in plain English to less money available for the club and the risk that the jewels of the club, from Florenzi to Nainggolan, passing through Strootman and Rudiger, are put up for sale for the purpose of making cash.

A scenario that not only has not escaped the Giallorossi fans, but which has literally made them angry, which could also become a risk from a political-electoral point of view, given that fans, before being fans, are citizens with a card electoral.

The Roma supporters have already organized themselves, making an appointment for 16.00 pm on February 24th in front of Palazzo Senatorio, where they will demonstrate in favor of the stadium while the meeting on the now famous Tor di Valle project will be held inside the Campidoglio.
