Roma-Inter, a wasteful 0-0

Inter claim a penalty with Icardi, conspicuously yanked by Benatia – De Rossi punches Icardi in the face again, who deserved a penalty and expulsion and who instead will end up on the table of sports judge Tosel – Juan Jesus does the same with Romagnoli: another oversight by Bergonzi, another penalty and expulsion not given, another TV test in sight.

Roma-Inter, a wasteful 0-0

It thundered so much that…it didn't rain. Roma-Inter promised goals and entertainment, instead it ended with a 0-0 draw which is of little use to both. It is the Giallorossi in particular who are eating their hands, because if Juve were to win at San Siro tonight, the goal of the Scudetto would become a chimera. Inter are smiling more, at least reassured by the point at the Olimpico, the fourth consecutive useful result. To move up the standings, however, more, much more is needed and Mazzarri will have to try to accelerate as soon as possible.

Garcia crosses his fingers and hopes that he will receive a gift from Milan, but the physical state of his Roma, one week after the away match in Naples, leaves more than one perplexity. It was clear that it wasn't going to be an easy evening since the day before. Giving up Totti and Maicon and finding Florenzi and Pjanic bruised didn't bode well, but Mazzarri also had his problems as he was forced to leave Hernanes on the bench. In short, teams in difficulty right from the start, yet the first few minutes are for the nerazzurri.

Inter immediately claimed a penalty from Icardi, visibly yanked by Benatia, but Bergonzi didn't notice and let them continue. Mazzarri's team didn't accuse the blow and in the 20th minute had the ball to take the lead, but Palacio wasted a header from close range. Rome? All in a serpentine by Ljajic and in a goal disallowed for a right offside by Destro on a cross by Nainggolan. In addition to a punch in the face by De Rossi against Icardi, who deserved a penalty and expulsion and which instead will end up on the table of sports judge Tosel.

He won't be the only one, because in the second half Juan Jesus will also do the same with Romagnoli: another oversight by Bergonzi, another penalty and expulsion not given, another TV test in sight. Once the best chances faded, Inter moved back a little and ended up suffering against the Giallorossi in the final part of the match. With the entry of Pjanic Garcia he gains in technique and Nainggolan can devote himself to the snatches that he loves to do so much. Gervinho came close to scoring on a couple of occasions, Rolando closed masterfully on one. But the heaviest ball is found on Pjanic's feet, whose right foot is saved brilliantly by Handanovic. It is the last real bell of a match below expectations, which however could have serious repercussions on the championship. We can bet that Garcia will sit in an armchair to cheer on Milan tonight.
