Roma-Inter, sparks of the Italian Cup

Tonight in the semi-final of the Italian Cup, the Giallorossi will be without Osvaldo, Pjanic, Dodò, Taddei and De Rossi, who will be out for 15 days – Stramaccioni knows that the moment is delicate and wants to play it to the fullest of his strength: "On the pitch the best possible formation".

Roma-Inter, sparks of the Italian Cup

The second round is even more important. After the study phase that took place last Sunday, Roma and Inter are preparing to challenge each other again, but this time the stakes are decidedly higher. The Coppa Italia is tempting for both teams, even more after the latest championship results. It is Roma who play their face the most: the standings are crying and the European zone is increasingly distant. The national cup thus risks being the only viaticum for the Europa League, therefore mistakes are not allowed.

“We will have to be more aggressive in the Nerazzurri's half – said Zeman -. The statistics tell me that we had many goals on Sunday, while Inter only had two. So I hope to be able to do better." Which translated means winning to mortgage the final. “Who would I prefer to meet between Lazio and Juventus? For me it's the same, I'd just like to be there” continued the Bohemian, struggling with various training problems. In fact, tonight the Giallorossi will be without Osvaldo, Pjanic, Dodò, Taddei and De Rossi, who will be sidelined for 15 days due to a first degree injury to the semitendinosus muscle of the right thigh. So beating Inter will be even more difficult. “For me, Inter is always Inter – reiterated the Bohemian coach. – In the last few games, especially away games, they haven't managed to score points, but it's always a team with important players, who have won a lot and therefore also have great experience."

Maximum respect also from the Nerazzurri side of the ring. Stramaccioni knows that the moment is delicate and he wants to play it to the maximum of his strength: “Since the beginning of the season we have made it clear that for us every competition was important. Now we've come this far, we want to honor this semi-final and tomorrow an Inter will take the field that wants to win and will fight to do so. I'll try to field the best formation possible, it's absolutely not a match in which there is a turnover to be made".

The Nerazzurri coach expects a match similar to the one just played in the championship: “I think Roma will play 8/11 with the same players they used on Sunday. I expect a game with an open face because with Roma, from a tactical point of view, it's always an unscrupulous match. We showed on Sunday that we want to play it and we will do it again, even if we have defections in attack". In fact, the problems have remained the same as a few days ago: Milito and Cassano are still unavailable, Rocchi is not ready to play 90 minutes. So space for the young Livaja, who performed well last Sunday and for Palacio, the hottest man in the Nerazzurri battery. There is a cup final up for grabs and the time for calculations is over.
